      Hello Mozers!

We are adding an ecommerce functionality to our existing website.
Our company offers a wide range of commercial printing and mail services.

We have done a pretty good job over the years in building content both in terms of our print offerings and blog section highlighting those offerings.

We have finally bit the bullet and have decided to add end-to end ecommerce functionality. Users will be able to price, pay, upload and order thru our website.

My question to the community becomes which sub folder do we use?
The ecommerce functionality is a third part software and needs to sit in a sub folder and we can't seem to find a good fit.

Most of our content pages for print items are something like this

      www.website/printing/ - pillar page

examples of url structure for sub pages

      www.website/printing/flyer-printing/
      www.website/printing/booklet-printing/
      www.website/printing/door-hangers/
      www.website/printing/business-cards/

Options would be order-printing/ or prints/

So we we thinking /orders/ would be the best but not certain and wanted some feedback from the community.

If we did go this route the url structure would be: order/business-cards this would be the default econ page

      order/business-cards/full-uv-coaing-both-sides individual product page

      What are your thoughts?

      CH

Do the terms in a website url drive search hits

I've tried to do a search on a few key words that I knew was on my landing page and I couldn't get Google to find it.  So I thought maybe I needed to change my url to reflect a few the terms.

        Removing indexed website

I had a .in TLD version of my .com website floated for about 15 days, which was a duplicate copy of .com website. I did not wish to use the .in further for SEO duplication reasons and had let the .in domain expire on 26th April. But still now when I search from my website the .in version also shows up in results and even in google webmaster it shows the the website with maximum (190) number of links to my .com website. I am sure this is hurting the ranking of my .com website. How can the .in website be removed from googles indexing and search results. Given that is has expired also. thanks

Can I redirect a URL that has a # in it? How?

Hi there - My web developer is saying that I can't do a URL redirect with a "#" in it. Currently, the URL is actually an anchored link within a page (which the URL indicates with a #). I want to change the content to a new URL, but our website links internally to the old URL, so we would need to do a URL redirect (assume 301). Can you tell me if this is possible and how? Thanks!

        Internal website search

Hi, I'd like to index dynamically generated  - internal website search pages - to Google. A mod rewrite to make the URL strings friendlier might be one way, but as these pages are created on the fly and effectively don't exist till the search keywords are inputted, is it even possible to index them? thanks

        Google Website Optimizer

So if you are AB testing two pages: index.html and indexB.html Shouldn't I nofollow indexB.html? It has all the same content, just a different design.

        Blog URLs

I read somewhere - pretty sure is was in Art of SEO - that having dates in the blog permalink URLs was a bad idea. e.g. /blog/2011/3/my-blog-post/ However, looking at Wordpress best practice, it's also not a good idea to have a URL without a number - it's more resource hungry if you don't , apparently. e.g. /blog/my-blog-post/ Does anyone have any views on this? Thanks Ben
