Hello! I am searching for high-ranking keywords through Explore by Site feature. But, it doesn't show me the relevant keywords I'm looking for. Like if I search for "written communication skills" on Google and copy URL of a lower authority domain and paste it into the Explore by Site search bar, it shows the results for "example of proposals", "hardware vs software", and so, but not relevant to written communication. What should I do?

@Zafar435 Here are some possible solutions to your issue:

        1. Check the site's content: Before using the Explore by Site feature, make sure the site you're searching has content related to "written communication skills." If the site primarily focuses on hardware and software, it's unlikely that the feature will show you relevant keywords for written communication.

        2. Use more specific keywords: Try using more specific keywords related to written communication skills, such as "business writing skills," "professional communication techniques," or "technical writing skills." This will help narrow down the search results and increase the likelihood of finding relevant keywords.

        3. Use Google Search Console: Google Search Console is a free tool that allows you to see how Google crawls and indexes your website. It can also provide insights into the keywords that are driving traffic to your site. By using this tool, you can identify high-ranking keywords for written communication skills and then use them in your content and Explore by Site searches.

        4. Use a keyword research tool: There are many keyword research tools available, such as Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, and Ahrefs. These tools can help you identify high-ranking keywords for written communication skills and provide insights into search volume, competition, and related keywords.

        5. Analyze competitor sites: Look at sites that rank higher than the one you're searching for in Google search results for "written communication skills." Analyze their content and see what keywords they're using. This can give you ideas for relevant keywords to target in your content and Explore by Site searches.

        6. Use long-tail keywords: Long-tail keywords are longer, more specific phrases that are less competitive but still relevant to your topic. For example, instead of "written communication skills," try "how to improve written communication skills for business professionals." This can help you find more specific and relevant keywords through the Explore by Site feature.

        7. Use Google Trends: Google Trends is a free tool that allows you to see how often a particular keyword is searched for over time. By using this tool, you can identify trends in keyword popularity and adjust your content strategy accordingly. This can also help you find related keywords that are trending and may be worth targeting in your content and Explore by Site searches.

Proper use of location in keywords

¿If I want to track keywords in a specific location, do I need to write the keyword with the location or only the keyword? For example: If I want to track the results of the keyword "hair salon" in a specific city, should I write "Hair salon in (city chosen) or only hair salon.

          Does &pws=0 still work?

Hi All I have have been kind of out of the seo scene for a while,  does &pws=0 still work?   I only ask as the search console says our brand name has droped to an average postion 3 ( instead of 1), but every time I check I we are 1st ( and I can see anything behind it that could possiabley get in front of it. Thanks Edit:  Actually  I also tried testing incognito, via a proxy and &pws=0,  we are always 1st

Why doesn't Google show my site in the results when searching for my exact URL ?

I haven't done too much work with optimizing the site yet, but I was curious as to why the site doesn't even show up in any of the google results when searching on the exact URL.  What could cause this behavior?

          Rankings not working

It appears that my search rankings in my SEOMoz profile aren't working - either that or something really bad has happened to my rankings. I left it a few days thinking it was updating but nothing seems to have changed. Can anyone help?

Is 15 keywords enough to properly optimize content for an entire domain?

I have recently moved in charge of a 95 page web portal that has around 8 categories of content. The SEO agency I am touch with has sent me a proposal that says they will do on-page optimization for this domain for 15 keywords. Should that be enough? What should be my expected outcome? My promise to the client is that core pages from his website will show up early on the SERPs. If they can do this, I am fine with it. Do you think I am getting the right deal? Should I be asking for more?

Keyword Strategy for an E-Commerce Site

I've seen this touched on in other posts but have read conflicting answers and am hoping to get some clarification.  What should my keyword strategy be for an e-commerce site in an industry that has moderate to high competition for it's short-tail keyword phrases? Should I try to optimize my homepage for the highly competitive, short-tail keywords, while going after the long-tail, and less competitive (but less traffic, too) on my product pages?  What's a good rule of thumb as far as the number of keyword phrases to target per product? Thank you

Optimizing two site pages for the same keyword phrase

If a keyword works really well for two pages on your site, is it OK to optimize both pages for that keyword?  Is it possible that Google will rank both pages? For example, one of the companies I've worked with is a software developer.  They want to use the keyword phrase “simple project management software” for both the home page http://www.wennsoft.com/ and for the product page http://www.wennsoft.com/en/Solutions/By-Products/projectmanagement.aspx.  (I’ve got other alternatives that I can use, but optimizing both pages for the same keyword would be the path of least resistance).
