I've noticed that my website's spam score has increased recently, and upon further investigation, I found some spammy links pointing to my site. and my website www.fastlandoffer.com Moz Smap Score is 16
5 I haven't engaged in any spammy tactics, so I'm not sure how they got there.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to effectively remove these spammy links from my website and improve its overall credibility and search engine rankings?

Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

      Thanks in advance!

@FredericoSeo To effectively remove spammy links from your website and improve its credibility and search engine rankings, you can follow these steps:

        1. Identify the spammy links: Use tools like Google Search Console, Moz, or Ahrefs to identify the spammy links pointing to your site. Look for links from low-quality or irrelevant websites.

        2. Disavow spammy links: Once you've identified the spammy links, create a disavow file listing these links and submit it to Google Search Console. This tells Google to ignore these links when assessing your website's ranking.

        3. Improve website security: Ensure your website's security measures are up-to-date to prevent future spammy link injections. Regularly monitor your website for any suspicious activity.

        4. Build quality backlinks: Focus on building high-quality, relevant backlinks from authoritative websites through guest posting, content marketing, and networking within your industry.

        5. Monitor and maintain: Continuously monitor your website's backlink profile and regularly audit for any new spammy links. Stay proactive in addressing any issues that may arise.

By taking these steps, you can effectively remove spammy links from your website and improve its overall credibility and search engine rankings.

You do have to very careful with disavowing links, very careful, because what a lot of business do, is upload a disavow excel document to Google, and they break links, that might be good.

so you do need an SEO expert on this for sure, they need to know which links are rubbish, which are good. I run Kingsley Fencing and a business South Wales Demolition, both had rubbish links accumulate, if left, without consulting with an expert, the organic rankings would have dropped, so do go and see an SEO agency for advice, make sure the only linking websites are quality.

Unsolved Looking for someone from Moz to comment on unrealistic spam score

            spam score

Two years ago I bought domain name aroundtheworldwithme.com as a travel blog. I built the site up slowly and currently have a DA of 28 with decent Google search results. However, according to Moz my spam score is 43%. I am convinced that something funny is going on to give me this spam score. I have gone though all 27 factors that play into the spam score in great detail. I only fail a few of the checks. These are the Double Click Tag, LinkedIn profile, phone number, email, and Facebook Pixel. Which as far as I know, literally zero travel blog websites provide this info. So I am on par with evert other travel blog website. Now I know Moz will say this "doesn't mean your website is spam, just that our algorithm found that websites with similar attributes are spam." But this is completely bogus. All similar websites to mine have spam scores of 1-2%. All other websites I see with spam scores over 40% are literally spam websites. Why am I literally the only legitimate travel blog site that has a spam score over 40%? My backlink profile is similar to all other travel blogs. I actually have less spammy links as most, as I haven't been around too long. So I don't think my backlinks are causing the high spam score. The only thing I can think of is that my domain name used to be owned by someone else. I have a lot of backlinks from a random blog website that were discovered in 2018, three years before I bought the domain. Is it possible that the domain used to be an actual spam site name and I am now being punished for that? If not, then I cannot think of anything that would cause my high spam score other than fundamental defects in the Moz spam score algorithm. Something is going on, and I'd love someone from Moz to actually be able to have a look at my website and tell me why I have such a high spam score. I know Google doesn't care about Moz's spam score (thankfully) but other websites don't want links from me due to my completely bogus spam score. Thanks everyone

Unsolved Spam Score Blank - Looking For Feasible Solution

spam score site evaluate link building link explorer

            Hi,
There is a question in my website. When I'm searching the number of spam score of my site, it shows "--".
In the official article it shows that the reason of "--" happens is that our site has not been evaluated by Moz. But there aren't any ways of solutions, seems that we can only wait - not knowing how long - for being evaluated.
Is there any way that I can get my site evaluated by Moz, and the spam score of my website can be displayed as an exact number?
            Thanks for answering in advance!

Open Site Explorer -> Just Discovered -> Internal Links: Only shown 1 url link per day

Hi, We have a page that have like 10-15 new content/pages per day.
            eg. domain.com/post-id-01/, omain.com/post-id-02/, omain.com/post-id-03/ etc
But somehow, under Just-Discovered, internal links only show 1 per day when it suppose to display like 10-15.
The layout for each pages is exact same except for the content changes and the url's ID changes. Our competitor on the other hand, they have like 5 new page per day, but somehow Moz shows their internal links as 25 per days.  Each of their new url have 4 more prefix number.
            Eg:
            new-page-01?track=990
            new-page-01?track=991
            new-page-01?track=992 etc
The above example url is technically as 1 page if without the "?" affix. Whiles all our new pages/url have unique id, but Moz only show 1 a day. Please advise on how to get Moz to shows all the new pages in Just-Discovered (internal link). Thanks, Cam
