      Hello everyone,

      Finally, after moving our hreflang tags from our sitemap to our header HTML, Google seems to start displaying the correct URLs in the SERPs.

      From what I can see - Google folds URLs, so instead of indexing all pages, it only selects an English version of our site but displays a different URL based on our hreflang tags (not sure if that's good or bad or if I should work towards a full indexation).

      However - I am now facing the issue that the wrong currency will often be displayed in my SERPs. E.g. in Australia I may have Euros or in Canada we see British Pounds (i.e. /en-ca/* URL shows in SERPs but the /en-gb/* URL is actually indexed).

      Is there any way around this? I was searching for a solution and found some but seems like most don't exist anymore (https://moz.com/community/q/topic/53216/international-seo-ecommerce-rich-snippets/3) at least if I try and dig deeper into the source.

      What's the current recommendation?

        @sriffs follow these recommendations for international SEO:

        • Hreflang tags: Move your hreflang tags from the sitemap to the header HTML, ensuring they are implemented correctly.

        • Country targeting: Configure your website's country targeting settings in Google Search Console accurately.

        • Currency markup: Use structured data markup (schema.org organization) to specify the currency for prices on each webpage.

        • Geotargeting signals: Include country-specific information on your website, such as local addresses, phone numbers, and pricing in the correct currency.

        • Rich snippets: Utilize product schema markup to provide detailed information about your products, including price, currency, and availability.

        • Monitor and optimize: Regularly check for errors in hreflang tags, currency markup, and structured data implementation, making adjustments as necessary.

          Hreflang on non 1:1 websites

          Hi. I have a client with international websites targeting several different countries. Currently, the US (.com) website outranks the country-specific domain when conducting a search within that country (i.e. US outranks the UK website in the UK). This sounds like a classic case for hrelang. However, the websites are largely not 1:1. They offer different content with a different design and a different URL structure. Each country is on a country-specific domain (.com, .co.uk, .com.au, etc.). As well, the country-specific domains have lower domain authority than the US/.com website - fewer links, lower quality content, poorer UX, etc. Would hreflang still help in this scenario if we were to map it the closest possible matching page? Do the websites not sharing content 1:1 add any risks? The client is worried the US/.com website will lose ranking in the country but the country-specific domain won't gain that ranking. Thanks for any help or examples you can offer!

          I have a client with a Shopify site. It is a clone of the 'main' website which is a .co.uk domain. Client wants to use .com.au for Australia and New Zealand. All are English language. How should we structure hreflang tags? Or is there a better way to target the .com.au website at Australia/New Zealand?

          Which pages to put hreflang on?

          Hi, we are running a site which is a directory consisting of numbers of phone spammers. It contains descriptions, comments and so on. We are currently present in 9 countries. The websites all have the same structure, but, of course, the spam numbers in each country are different ones. If I want to tell Google that our website is available is several locations/languages, do I only put my hreflang tag on the start page then? Thanks

          Geolocation issue: Google not displaying the correct url in the SERP's

          Hello, Im running a multi-country domain with this structure: domain.com/ar/
          domain.com/mx/
          domain.com/cl/
          etc I also have: domain.com/int/ for x-default
          domain.com/category/ does a 301 redirect through IP geo-location to the correspondent url, example if your IP is from Mexico, then you got redirected to domain.com/mx/category/ hreflang is correct. webmaster tool geo-location is correct. Example of the issue Im facing right now: When users from Chile do a keyword search in Google Chile, the domain ranks well but the URL that appears in the SERP is the /mx/ version, or the /int/ version or any other country version. Other times is the /cl/ version. The same happens for all the users / countries / keywords. I need to understand what Im doing wrong, because Google is not displaying in the SERP's the correct URL version for the country of the user who is doing the search. Thank you so much! I will appreciate your ideas. PS: I think I should try to change the 301 to a 302 redirect, or completely remove those redirects. Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks!

          Will hreflang with a language and region allow Google to show the page to all users of that language regardless of region?

          I'm launching translations on a website with the first translation being Brazilian Portuguese. If I use the following hreflang: If a user is outside of Brazil and has their browser language set to just Portuguese (Not Portuguese (Brazil)) will Google still serve them the Portuguese version of my pages in search results?

          How can I restrict the domains country by country?

          Hello, I have Two Domains one is xyz.co.uk and other is xyz.com Now, my main target for .com is United States, and I don't want to open that .com domain in any other country especially India. The same with the .co.uk, I dont want to open .co.uk in other countries. I did it with some developer help but it gave me redirected error in Google Webmaster. Can anyone please guide me how I can do this the proper way ? And Other issues is, how can I implement ,if any user in United States open xyz.co.uk than he should redirect to the .com version.
