      Hi

Moz says we're 18th for a phrase but that's for the page /himonsia-generators because that was the highest ranking page. If you search now for "heavy range generators" we're jumping between 10-12th position but it's for the page /products/generators - which is correct. How can I make Moz "Reindex" the pages?

@Kateparish said in Make Moz reindex the pages for keywords:

If you want search engines to reindex your web pages, you can follow these general steps:

I don't want "search engines to reindex your web pages", I need Moz to catchup.

@RichardAskew If Moz is still reporting an outdated page as the ranking page for a specific keyword, it could be due to the frequency of their data updates. Moz collects data periodically from search engines, and there might be a delay in reflecting the most recent changes in rankings.
In such cases, it's advisable to give Moz some time to update its data and reevaluate the rankings. They typically update their data regularly, but the exact frequency may vary.
If you continue to see discrepancies between Moz's reported ranking and your pages' actual ranking, you can contact Moz's support team for further assistance. They can provide insights into their data collection and update processes, and help you understand any potential factors contributing to the inconsistency.

Thanks for coming back to me.

The issue isn't I want Google to reindex my site, the issue is that for some keywords Moz is using a page that is no longer the highest ranking for that keyword.

Moz uses "page A" for "Keyword Z"

            Optimisation carried out

"Page B" now outranks "Page A" for the keyword

Moz is still reporting "Page A" and not "Page B"

@RichardAskew Moz is a tool that provides insights and analysis based on the data it has collected. It does not have direct control over search engine indexing or the ability to reindex specific pages. Moz gathers data from search engines periodically and updates its rankings and other metrics based on that information.

If you want search engines to reindex your web pages, you can follow these general steps:

              • Make sure your web pages are accessible: Ensure that the pages you want to be indexed are not blocked by robots.txt or any other directives that prevent search engine crawlers from accessing them.

              • Submit a sitemap: Create an XML sitemap that includes the URLs of the pages you want to be indexed and submit it to search engines. This helps search engines discover and crawl your pages more efficiently.

              • Fetch as Google: If you want to specifically notify Google about a page's updated content, you can use the "Fetch as Google" tool in Google Search Console. This allows you to request Google to crawl and index a specific URL.

              • Internal linking: Include links to the pages you want to be indexed from other relevant pages on your website. Internal linking helps search engine crawlers discover and navigate through your site.

              • External linking: Acquire quality backlinks from other reputable websites. Backlinks can help search engines discover and index your pages more effectively.

              • Update content regularly: Adding fresh and relevant content to your pages on a regular basis can signal to search engines that your website is active and encourage them to revisit and reindex your pages.

How to utilize Moz during website relaunch?

Hi folks - we're relaunching our website and have been sure to make it SEO optimized -- descriptive copy, new readable URLs, keyword-laden page metadata, and the like. However, I'm new to Moz Pro and unsure how to utilize it during this transition. My questions for those of you -- assuming many -- who have gone through a redesign: **How did you use Moz to track the success of your redesigned website? What do you wish you'd done? ** Any campaigns or resources you can suggest will be helpful, as I am new to the functionality!

Page Rank Report says #6 in Google but I can't find the page anywhere

So SEOMoz says that I've consistently ranked #6 for a certain keyword. But when I search I'm no where to be found. I've done regular searches, incognito and some non-seomoz reports and all come up with nothing in Google. I noticed it a week or two ago, but didn't think it would continue. This is no bueno. I wouldn't be surprised if I got penalized (luckily my homepage relatively well for similar keywords), an old seo consultant used very spammy tactics. I recently removed them, but not before I started to notice that I fell off the map. Why would SEOMoz not recognize this, and continue to say I'm ranking well? The keyword is bpi building analyst the page is http://www.cleanedison.com/courses/bpi-building-analyst

How to Optimize a Home Page?

Can anyone advise on what is the best way to optimise the home page? Many websites I see include the target(focus) keywords from other pages on the home page. Is this self competition? "Avoid Keyword Self-Cannibalization- It's a best practice in SEO to target each keyword with a single page on your site" If an e-commerce website has 4 levels in the SEO architecture. Home Page, Brand Pages(Category), Range pages(sub-category) and individual product pages. It would seem that the main keywords would be within the category(brands) level of a website. However many websites I see include these on the home page as well. Could someone please clarify this? I do not recall seeing the report card saying Self-Cannibalization when these keywords(category level) are listed on the home page. However I could be wrong, Please could someone advise on what SEO MOZs recommendations are for best practise on optimizing a home page so that it does not compete with category pages, or other pages on the website. Thanks

Using MOZ Keyword Rankings with Google Analytics in Excel to track paid keywords

Hi, I sorted my keywords in GA from highest incoming traffic to lowest, exported it and then imported these 280 or something keywords into SEO Moz. The  problem is, it appears that SEO Moz Keyword Rankings tool pulls traffic data (in the traffic column) only for NON-PAID traffic ... So what I'm seeing is that keywords that brings A LOT of traffic to my site (because of AdWords) sometimes have 0  of traffic in SEO Moz, because I'm on page 3 of SERP and I literally got no non-paid traffic that week. The thing is: I want to improve my rankings for keywords that I'm already performing well, even if they are paid keywords, because they already bring me a lot of traffic to my website. The way this is working is not helping me out, because when I sort by the traffic column very important keywords end up in the last place for me. Questions: Whey does SEO Moz pull traffic data from non-paid keywords only ? Shouldn't be at least an option for this or I'm missing something here ? While they don't change it, any Excel Gurus could help me how to export SEO Moz ranking data, import it on Excel and MERGE a new "paid traffic" column that I export from Google Analytics ? How to assing each keyword line the paid traffic value I'm getting from GA ? Thanks ! Felipe
