Hello Moz community. I’m looking for feedback on how
to improve this national company review/comparison website. We bring in experts in the industries we are writing reviews on. Well then conduct extensive keyword research and provide an SEO optimized recommendation content briefing to the writer. The writer creates the content including the high search volume and most relevant keyword phrases that people are searching for. We also make sure to match the intent of the keywords to Commercial intent for the content to ensure it matches our audience. For example, we brought in a leading audiologist and created the top Hearing aids for tinnitus.. How can we improve the process and site, any recommendations?

Your review website is a valuable resource for consumers seeking insights into various products and services. The user-friendly interface makes navigation a breeze, and the comprehensive reviews provide in-depth information. However, it would be beneficial to enhance the site's load speed for a smoother experience. Additionally, incorporating more diverse content formats like videos or interactive features can further engage and inform visitors. Overall, a promising platform with potential for even greater user satisfaction.

To improve your national company review/comparison website, consider these recommendations:

User Experience (UX): Focus on an intuitive and user-friendly website design. Ensure easy navigation, quick page load times, and mobile responsiveness for a seamless user experience.

Content Quality: While involving industry experts is great, prioritize content quality. Make sure reviews are well-researched, informative, and unbiased. Address user pain points and provide valuable insights.

User Feedback: Collect user feedback and reviews to understand what your audience likes and dislikes. Use this information to refine your content and website features.

Keyword Research: Continue conducting extensive keyword research to stay updated with search trends. Optimize content for relevant, high search volume keywords to enhance SEO.

Visual Content: Incorporate multimedia elements like images, infographics, and videos to enhance the user experience and provide additional value.

Site Speed: Optimize your website's performance to ensure it loads quickly, as slow loading times can deter visitors.

Engagement Features: Add features like comment sections or forums to encourage user engagement and discussion.

Regular Updates: Keep your content up-to-date to maintain its relevance and SEO ranking.

Social Proof: Showcase user reviews and ratings prominently to build trust and credibility.

Monetization Strategy: Explore different monetization options, such as affiliate marketing, ads, or premium subscriptions, to generate revenue.

Competitor Analysis: Continuously analyze your competitors to identify gaps in your content and improve your offerings.

Promotion and Marketing: Develop a robust marketing strategy to increase your website's visibility and attract more users.

By focusing on these aspects, you can enhance your website's credibility, user engagement, and overall success.

To enhance the performance of your national company review/comparison website, consider the following recommendations:

User Experience (UX) Enhancement: Focus on improving the overall user experience of your website. Ensure it is mobile-friendly, easy to navigate, and loads quickly. This will keep visitors engaged and encourage them to explore more content.

Detailed Reviews: While you're bringing in experts, ensure that the reviews are comprehensive, covering various aspects of the products or services. Include pros and cons, user feedback, and comparisons to make it a one-stop resource.

Visual Content: Incorporate visuals such as images, infographics, and videos to complement written content. Visual aids can make complex information more digestible and engaging for users.

Community Engagement: Encourage user-generated content like reviews, comments, and forums to foster a sense of community. This can boost user engagement and trust in the information provided.

Regular Updates: Consistently update your content to reflect current industry trends, product changes, and user feedback. This shows your commitment to providing accurate and up-to-date information.

Backlinks and Outreach: Collaborate with industry influencers and experts to gain backlinks and enhance your site's authority. Outreach efforts can help promote your content to a broader audience.

Local SEO Focus: If relevant, consider local SEO optimization to target users in specific geographical areas. This can improve the site's visibility for local audiences.

Feedback and Analytics: Collect user feedback and analyze website analytics to identify areas for improvement. Pay attention to bounce rates, click-through rates, and user behavior.

Clear Call to Actions (CTAs): Ensure your website has clear and strategically placed CTAs that guide users to take the desired actions, such as signing up for newsletters or exploring related content.

Mobile App: Consider developing a mobile app to provide users with a convenient way to access your content, fostering loyalty and repeat visits.

Social Media Integration: Promote your content on various social media platforms to expand your reach and engage with your audience directly.

Accessibility: Make your website accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. This not only broadens your audience but is also an ethical practice.

By implementing these recommendations, you can enhance both the process and the site, offering a more valuable and engaging experience for your audience.

Requiring customer agree to shipping terms at checkout

                  ecommerce conversion rate marketing

I work for an ecommerce company that has many of its shipments go by LTL freight. Our customer service team has issues with a few customers per month that aren't equipped to receive freight shipments which leads to returns and other issues. In an effort to better inform our customers, the customer service team is requesting that we add a checkbox to the checkout that requires customers to agree to our shipping and returns policy, including a link to the policy page. I am wondering how concerned people here would be that requiring the customer to check a box agreeing to those terms would lead to more customers abandoning during the checkout process. Or do you think it's not a concern? Thanks for your thoughts.

How to Get a New Organic SERP Image Pack

                  serp seo image optimisation

I have been doing a little on-page SEO on our site today and came across the following images embedded within organic SERPs, please see the screenshot. Obviously the users eye is drawn to these and therefore they are likely to result in more clicks. It would be great to know what they are called and how to go about getting these for our own results? If we managed to implement these across our site it would make a big difference for us, as working in the travel space, images are so strong when painting a picture of the destination. Thanks

Breadcrumbs and multiple parent categories on Shopify site - what's the answer?

navigation breadcrumb trail breadcrumbs ux seo

Hi Mozzers... I'm working on a Shopify site - it is polyhierarchical with multiple parent categories for each product. Not uncommon with Shopify because of issues with faceted nav on that platform. The problem is that defining ONE breadcrumb trail back to the homepage, it works against UX, as people will be wanting to go back to the previous search results, primarily, to revisit the parent category specific search (this is an ecommerce site with a huge number of products). So heaven knows what to do. I could do: (1) Home / Product to avoid the issue. Not very good for UX though as where is the previous category page (where more than likely a product search was carried out). (2) Home / Specific Previous Search Page - Parent Category / Product (if that is possible without upsetting SEO performance - I don't think it is - but any advice is welcome) (3) or I could define one specific path and also include: Return to Previous Page / Search as a separate clickback link outside of but adjacent to the breadcrumb trail (I think Macy's used to do that): https://baymard.com/blog/ecommerce-breadcrumbs The problem with defining a specific path is it flys in the face of UX in the context of this site! Although of course defining one path seems to be best practice for SEO. Any help would be gratefully received! Thanks a million, Luke

Add a Search box (content hub) for my website?

Hello We would like to introduce a search area in our website, to help our users to find all information regarding a specific topic (landing pages, infographics, blogs, videos, etc...). Before we decide to build everything internally, we were wondering if there is any widget or plugging to make this in a smooth way and that works fine. I have also seen that Google offers a custom search option to make this happens. I would really appreciate advice about what to do regarding this topic: Is there any company that offers a really good solution for this? Is worth to use Google custom search option? Or the best option is build it internally? PS: I have seen that there are many plugins for wordpress, but our site is not a wordpress blog. Just to clarify. Many thanks for your help 🙂

How does one write different pages of their website that are very similar in nature with using too much duplicate content?

We are a service provider and we have different links on our website to each of our services. The problem is the content that we would have for each is very similar. How can I ensure that it is not deemed duplicate content and ranked poorly because of it. Thanks

Are you sure moving a wordpress blog to a main website is a good idea?

Sorry to ask this question again but I left out some background info...... My blog sits at www.gardenbeet.wordpress.com I have been using the blog as my main linking page for my main website at www.gardenbeet.com  - the blog links to relevant sites in both blog articles and on the side of the blog. The blog links to industry websites that in turn link to my main website at www.gardenbeet.com. If I was to move the wordpress blog to my own domain will my mainwebsite loose its strength. Will all those blog links pour my link juice out of my website? Will the current three way links become two way links and thereby lesson their linking importance? Is the previous recommendation (combine the blog and the main website) still the best course of action? Should I keep the two sites or perhaps close entries on the existing blog and start another on my own domain? thanks for your time AGAIN
