Google has announced that it will not report new "Universal Analytics" data as of July 1, 2023. That would mean, at that time, MOZ "traffic" results will apparently become irrelevant?

            Hi Nwx

We're aware of the deadline of course, and aiming our efforts accordingly.

It's always a balance in terms of getting something out early vs adding new functionality at the same time.

                    Hi Mike

If you use Moz to report on your GA data, then currently that is indeed relying on UA.

Our goal is to have a futureproof solution in place before UA data becomes unavailable.

How to set up a competitor URL with a language slug for a campaign

                        competitor campaign settings url

Hello, I am trying to set up a competitor with language slug for my (subfolder) website with a language slug. Let's say my website is something like: websiteholding.com/de/website
My competitor is: competitor.com/de When I go to Campaign Settings > Comptetitor Sites > type in competitor.com/de > Hit Save Competitor > Then it shows the saved competitor without the language slug as competitor.com I am not sure if this is a correct method of tracking since for my DE website I would like to track the DE page of the competitor, not their global page. Please correct me if I am wrong and help me out on possible solutions? I am quite new to SEO & Moz , so any help on the topic would be appreciated.

Will the analytics offer me the same content review power as Hootsuite or Twitonomy?

Will the analytics offer me the same content review power as Hootsuite or Twitonomy?  I need to know if I should get one of these tools in addition to this.  I need information weekly about retweets, mentions, most popular content, reach, etc.,?  I would like to be able to do this all from one place- here in Moz.

Moz Crawler suddenly reporting 1000s of duplicates (BE.net)

In the last 3-4 days we've had several thousand 'duplicate content' warnings appear in our crawl report, 99% of them related to our on-site blog. The blog is BlogEngine.Net, but the pages simply don't exist. The majority seem to be Roger trying quasi-random URLs like:
/?page=410 /?page=151 Etc. etc. The blog will present content for these requests, but it is of course the same empty page since there's only unique content for up to /?Page=10 or so. Two questions: 1. Did something change recently? These blogs have been up for months, and this problem has only come up this week. Did Roger change to become more aggressive lately? 2. Suggested remediation? On one of the blogs I've put no-index no-follow for any page that has a /?page querystring, and we'll see what effect that has come next crawl next week. However, I'm not sure this will work as per: http://moz.com/community/q/functionality-of-seomoz-crawl-page-reports Anyone else had dynamic blogs suddenly blossom into thousands of duplicate content warnings? Google (rightly) ignores these pages completely.

Google Secure Search Announcement: How do you think this will play out?

So, I read this post on the Google Blog and then this commentary about it. Wondering what some of you veterans think about how this will impact results. I always remain logged out for queries and use several different software tools to check when I run an analysis. Since social influences are becoming a bigger factor, do you think this is going to create some issues in data? What are your thoughts?

Setting up Google Analytic Goals to a 3rd Party Site

                        google analytics

I recently received help on a question I asked on SEOmoz but need additional clarification.  I am trying to set up goals in Google Analytics for people who click on a “purchase botton” which sends them to PayPal.  I created a Thank You page and tried to get PayPal to redirect to it, however, our customers only get  to our site’s 404 page. Here is what I’ve done so far: Went into my PayPal account and turned the “Auto Return” to ‘on’ Under website payment preferences, I added the following URL http://www.teecycle.org/thank-youutm_nooverride1.  (I formatted the URL this way because the person who provided me with help recommended using the format ?UTM_nooverride=1.  However, our CMS system won’t allow “?” or “=”)

Will having a subdomain cause referral traffic from the domain name?

Hi! One of our clients has a site with the store on a subdomain: store.example.com.  When we've set up goals for order confirmation pages, we often see most of the sources attributed to example.com.  Is this because of the subdomain issue? How would we correct it so that we would see as the referring source for the goal the site that sent to the root domain originally, and not the site that sent to the subdomain? Thanks!
