  • Does anyone know how I can correct my axiom.com directory listing? I do pay for Moz Local Listings, however, this one refused to updater per my CVS file used by Moz.  Is there a way to do so without paying axiom as well? The provided website URL fails to display and the city is incorrect on axiom.com's directory. It is correct in the Moz file submitted.

  • I have recently upgraded my Moz account to Moz Pro. But is Moz Local included in this subscription?
Why do I have access to Moz Local? Is this just a 30 day trial or will campaigns that I start here be added to the billing?

  • I keep getting this error message. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or what. Basically, I have filled in all the information, and not edited the parts where I have no information to populate. Gives the error: The CSV you uploaded contains no listings. Thanks.

  • I will be setting up a MOZ Local account for a client with two locations.  My question/concern with the facebook page matching up with the information submitted for the business. This plastic surgery practice has two locations but their facebook page only allows for one address.  Could the secondary location submission possibly be rejected due to the address not matching the information on the facebook page? Thanks for your help!

  • I have a retail client with some 200 plus retail locations around the U.S. In light of this I am wondering about the best way for them to be practicing SEO with regards to social and multiple locations.  Moz Local recommends listings with services/sites like Yelp, Yellow Pages, Acxiom, Foursquare, Facebook, etc, but what is best to do when one has many locations? Should there be a listing in these services for each retail location? Do they stick to 1 of each social sites but have a listing for each store in each online business directory? What about Google +, which seems to play an increasing role? Thanks

  • I have a client who service a very wide area, from a major city to about 100 miles north of it, they only have one location but their business is never conducted inside the office.  When creating a moz local CSV, any special suggestions on how to best configure it so it's listed for a wide area? Thanks!

  • I'm trying to get Moz local to recognize my csv file, and its not seeming to do so. I've tried using Google Spreadsheets, OpenOffice Calc, and have even used a Moz Local generator in Google Docs. I've tried this a dozen times now, and none of them seem to work, and leave me with the error -- We did not recognize the file type you uploaded. Please make sure the file you upload is in CSV (Comma Delimited) format. You may need to re-save or export the spreadsheet as a CSV. Please note that the column headers are required, and must not be changed. Feel free to use our template to fill out your listing info.

  • Why is it that when I submit a listing on Moz Local sometimes it does not pull up my Facebook page to verify and only tries to use the Google+, or vise versa? In this particular instance i want it to use the Facebook page because it has all the correct information and the Google+ page is not, but since the Google+ page has a different name it will not verify and let my listing go through. But it matches everything exactly on the Facebook page but is not even pulling up Facebook to option, instead it wants me to change the name of my business which is not correct.

  • Hey everyone, One our business listings is cited as having a duplicate listing in Factual in Moz Local. When you click on the "Fix Duplicate" button in Moz Local, it gives you a mailto: link that emails the Data Contributions team at Factual. I tried sending this team an email and received an automated response that read: "Thank you for your interest in Factual. We have partnered with a select group of Trusted Data Contributors (TDCs) to add, update, and manage business listings in Factual. We are no longer accepting contributions via email; instead, please work with one of our TDCs directly to update your data within Factual. The full list along with contact information can be found here: http://developer.factual.com/trusted-data-contributors/." So I'm caught in kind of a loop here. Am I just supposed to wait for Moz Local to push the correct data to Factual while Moz Local thinks that I'm able to fix it manually? Any and all suggestions and help is appreciated. Thanks,

  • What if my business name has recently changed. How do I get rid of all the listing information under the old name and have it changed to the new name. My business phone number, address, website and everything else is still the same, i just changed the business name and want my information and business name to show up instead of the old one still showing.

  • First of all I had the MOZ/local site open on Google Chrome but I was unable to upload the csv file so I moved on to Bing. On Bing I was able to upload the file and after I clicked on the file the window closed as if it was uploaded. The only thing is that MOZ/local gave me no indication that they received my file. There was no message on the screen like, "Upload Complete". How am I suppose to know if it was uploaded correctly? Thank you. Best Regards, John

  • I just submitted a CSV file with the information about 3 businesses to Moz Local, but I can't tell if it went through properly. The page gave me a message saying "0 are ready to publish. 0 need validation", and didn't list any errors in my listings. However, the number next to "Unmanaged" is still a 0. I know from looking at some of the other questions on here that from the time that Moz sends the information out, it can take a few weeks for the listings to propagate. But I'm not sure whether or not it's supposed to take some amount of time for uploaded listings to show up on here as Unmanaged listings. Should I try resubmitting, or does it just take a few minutes/hours for unmanaged listings to show up?

  • If I'm understanding Google correctly, we can use a single descriptor as part of a business name, and to do so, you use the following format in the business name field: Business Name - Descriptor Is this correct?   If so, is it not compatible with MOZ Local?  I used the format above, and MOZ seems to see the descriptor as part of the business name, and won't let me verify.   Is the best approach to using a descriptor to get verified first, then add it?   Or will that mess other things up?

  • Hello, Before Moz Local was released, I had worked with a 3rd party vendor and established citations throughout several, several domains. There may had been some directories, such as the databases, that we were unsuccessful at because we're 70 locations and they wanted to charge high fees for bulk. We also were unsuccessful with Yahoo, Yellow Pages and Citysearch (for various reasons that are too complex to get into here). 1. Would it be beneficial to also use Moz Local for good measure and to cover some, if not all, domains we had difficulties with? 2. Would that be duplicating our efforts and/or cause duplicate listings? 3. Can we cherry-pick which domains we want? Thanks.

  • It has taken me some time to make sure all fields were correct in order to upload the CVC file to Moz Local. Because I hope to use this tool for multiple clients, how long should I tell them to anticipate before the listings show up correctly? Is there a $49 charge per business site that I use Moz Local for? Is there a limit to how many sites I can do?

  • I had already claimed many of our listings before subscribing to Moz Local, will Moz Local just update those claimed listings or does it use the CSV file to create a duplicate  listings?  Out of nowhere I had about 5 duplicates pop up and am not sure where they came from.  They are a beast to get rid of so hoping there is an easy explanation/fix!

  • I'm wondering how Moz Local will handle a business that doesn't want to publicly display an address.  A handyman, landscaper, or locksmith might want to do something like this.  Is it easily handled or do you have to manually try to "work around" to hide the address on sites that let you? Thanks!

  • Hey Guys, I wonder if anyone can help me. I have already contacted the moz support team but they were no help. I am extremely disappointed with their service so far. Now to verify the listing on Moz Local, they say that you either fix the Google Listing or correct the CSV so it matches the Google listing. - I corrected the CSV to match the Google listing. Since the FAQ states that you can updated the listing at anytime by uploading an we CSV file, I did not see a problem with this. However, After contacting support they told me that the FAQ was incorrect and that you can't just update the CSV, you actually have to also manually update the Google listing. My Google local listing has the wrong information listed. We do not have control of this listing I have been trying to claim it, I have also already contacted Google Local help but it's a lost cause so far. So I am asking, How are you guys claiming your Google listings when the listings are already claimed. Also I have already been submitting changes to Google Map Maker but change keep getting denied. Any help is appreciated.

  • I know it takes you to the listing site. Do you then have to create an account and claim the listing and then update it there? Does claiming the listing lose the connection with Moz Local? I've been spending a lot of time claiming listings and wondering if that's correct or not. Thanks Dana

  • I am going to use the new Moz Local. When going into my Google places to try to export the list of businesses and location info I can't seem to figure out how to export it.  I click download but it won't download any of the properties.  It downloads a spreadsheet and says -0- locations downloaded.  Frustrated.  Any advice?

  • What's going on with Mozlocal? Now, it's telling me my g+ page is 100% incomplete. Last week, it told me my foursquare was 100% incomplete. Both of those are inaccurate and I've had them listed for over 2 months. Am I the only one having problems? Ruben

  • We just started using Moz Local for a law office client. The csv has the client's correct information. However, our client has listings out there with a completely incorrect address/city and alternate phone number. There wouldn't be a valid FB or G+ listing for this incorrect address to use for validation. Is there any way Moz Local can find these and correct them by matching name or website alone? The incorrect ones are not showing up in the list of duplicates.

  • I've been attempting to get a client's local listings all cleaned up using Moz Local. When I first did a scan, the Yelp listing was there but with an incorrect address. I uploaded all the data via CVS file successfully about a month ago. I logged into the claimed Yelp profile as the owner and made my adjustments. Now, the Moz Local tool says there is no Yelp listing and it's also reporting that there is no G+ page. Can anyone explain? Thanks!

  • Moz Local continues to tell me there are errors with the excel document i'm uploading. So as told I saved it as a .csv and tried to close out and it a notice continues to comes saying " This workbook contains features that will not work or may be removed if you save it in the selected file format. Do you want to continue? " both options don't close the document and I can't close the document without losing the work i've done. What do I do?

  • I'm looking for some documentation on Moz Local about the distribution network.  I know Moz submits directly to:
    Infogroup
    Acxiom
    Nuestar/Localeze
    Factual
    Foursquare
    Superpages
Best of the Web However, Moz doesn't seem to provide documentation on what sites will be updated from their distribution network. I need to know how this entire distribution network compares to the Check Listing graph provided by Moz Local.  For example, I know Yahoo is part of Localeze's distribution network.  What sites in the Check Listing graph are not part of the entire distribution network?

  • On the 9th I tried to get Moz Local, but it would not connect to the right g+ page. I've been told their working on it, but after a week...nothing. Has anyone else had this problem? if so, how long did it take for them to fix it? Thanks, Ruben P.S. Mozzers, if you respond, do not mark it as "answered." I need answers from customers who can give me a timeline from their experience. As nice as you all are, I'm over the generic support responses.

  • I have filled out the listings template provided by Moz Local for creating listings. I uploaded a week or so ago and when I went to check listings today, none were created. So I tried to upload the CSV file again, and it is giving me an error saying "Make sure you are uploading a CSV (Comma Delimited) file and that you include the column titles. If you are using Microsoft Excel, please export your spreadsheet as a CSV file first.". I have saved it as a CSV in both Excel and Google sheets, but neither file seems to be recognized by Moz Local as a CSV. Is this happening because of the previously uploaded file, or did it never get uploaded in the first place and I just missed the error message the first time around? Anyone else having problems uploading their CSV and found a way to get it accepted? Is there any other way to create a CSV from an excel file other than Excel or Google Sheets? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  • According to Localeze, we don't have a listing for our Tampa office. However, according to Moz Local, it is managed by someone else. What does that mean? Is Moz Local telling me that their services can't manage Localese and I need to do that listing myself or that someone else has control of our listing and I need to figure out how to get it from them? Or, does it mean something else entirely? Thanks, Ruben
