  • Hi, I have a client who will be purchasing a Moz Local package. They have 1 main location and 11 off-site locations throughout the city. I am trying to validate the last location through the dashboard but the correct Google My Business page is not being pulled. I went to the backend of the Google My Business page and there is a banner saying, "Your business is verified. Listings may be reviewed for quality and can take up to 3 days to be published." This banner has been present for almost 3 weeks now. The Google Business pages were bulk verified and only this one page is pending review. Does anyone have insights as to why the page is still pending review? If the page is verified, why is it not being pulled to Moz Dashboard?

  • Hi! I am in charge of multiple listings for the same business because they have many offices throughout the US. Upon submitting these different locations on Moz Local, I have now run into an issue where all of the listings are not registering their correct Facebook page. On Facebook I have created separate pages for each location (using their location manager tool), but I am unsure on how to connect this to Moz. I have tried submitting the URL of the Facebook page in the "Advanced" tab in the "edit" area, but this does not seem to solve the problem. Any idea on why this is happening, and if there is an easy fix? Thanks everyone!

  • One of our clients has a multilingual site with 14 variants - some in English (i.e. en-th) and some translated (i.e. th-th). I want to track keywords for all 14 variants in their respective countries. Is this possible with Moz?

  • About a year ago we changed the address - and the score basically has not changed.  It's been in the low "80" for about a year.  "Update in Progress" has been updating for several months.  Getting frustrated at to "why" we can get in the 90's for close to 100.  Not sure if Moz is the answer on getting the directories up to date.

  • Hi there, One of our companies just changed addresses, so it is the first time I really need to know my way around there. Do you have a guide or instructions to get to know the moz local platform? Thanks

  • I searched the boards here and I couldn't find a question about one of my most persistent issues with Moz Local. As an SEO at a small agency, I'm typically managing between 5-6 different Moz Local campaigns from one dashboard. I have found the Foursquare syncing process to be extremely troublesome. Has anyone cracked it? I was only able to get 1 of my 5 current campaigns to sync. And I did it a while ago so I've forgotten how I did it. Here's how the process has been going for me. This is going to be lengthy (sorry) but I want you all to have all the deets. I see an alert in the Foursquare sync box on my left hand menu. I click it. It takes me to this page: https://moz.com/local/bulk/managed/oauth/foursquare. I see a message that reads "4 Listings need access to Foursquare". I click the button in this message that says "+ Foursquare account". I add a personal Foursquare account because apparently you need a pesonal account before you can set up a business account (a la Facebook?). I successfully go through steps to add a Foursquare account. If I click the little gear in the "4 Listings need access to Foursquare" box it shows that I have 3 connected Foursquare accounts. But this appears to be as far as I can go. What's next? Above the "4 Listings need access to Foursquare" box there's another box that says "2 Foursquare account have no matching listings." This box isn't clickable. There appears to be no next step here. I'm super frustrated by this user experience. Am I supposed to creating Foursquare Accounts with the business name some how?

  • I have put the time in to review all our business listings and updated it individually. Are there more advantages in using Moz Local besides the convenience? For those that use it, what else have you found to be beneficial? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks,

  • We use the MozBar tool to easily check what links are follow or no-follow. However, when we entered in this URL: http://www.e-ir.info/2017/01/17/security-and-the-brexit-effect/ and we clicked on "edit" > "follow" within the MozBar tool in Google Chrome, if you scroll down to "Featured image courtesy of www.americanadvisorsgroup.com ", you'll noticed that the link doesn't show whether it's a follow or not. Can someone clarify if MozBar sees links with no indication of follow/no follow as a follow? We look at the URL itself and it doesn't have any indication of no follow. Would love to get someone's feedback on this.

  • Hello, On Moz Local it is showing up an incorrect google listing for the business I work for. In my actual Google account there is only one Google listing and it is correct but this correct version doesn't appear on Moz Local. I have followed the criteria to meet your google listing so I am confused in what to do. Many thanks,

  • As someone that recently moved from an agency to a position in-house, I am appalled at the lack of support and resources for users of Moz Local that are NOT connected to an agency partner. Without a public phone number, a support rep, and nobody manning the chat... how are we supposed to get answers for the service that we paid good money for? I would like to know how to add an alternate address to the duplicate are of our listing account. We have an old address that appears everywhere but is not showing in the duplicate listing report and I'm not sure how to add it. Any help would be appreciated. A public phone number and/or tech support rep would be even better! Bryan Mull

  • Hello Folks, Moz Local is not verifying my Google My Business Listing nor is it verifying the manual CSV upload.  My Google My Business Listing and my manual CSV upload correctly display all of the same information as my Google My Business Listing and Facebook Page using the following Moz Local guidelines.  The only thing that I can think of is that Moz Local is currently pulling up and older listing with a toll free number; however that has been corrected and the feed is real time, so I'm at a loss. Facebook The name, address, and phone number (NAP) listed on the page must be an exact match with the listing in Moz Local. The primary phone number listed must be a unique local number or a toll-free number. The primary page category must be “local business”. A minimum of 2 visitor check-ins are required. Not sure what to do here? Head to Facebook's resources to see how to let people check in and how you can check in. The page must be fully accessible to all potential visitors, so any restrictions based on age, location, etc. must be disabled. This can be easily checked by attempting to view the Facebook page in a Chrome incognito browser while not logged into a Facebook account; if you can view the page normally in these conditions, the accessibility should be in good shape! Google My Business The name, address, and phone number (NAP) listed on the page must be an exact match with the listing in Moz Local. The primary phone number listed must be a unique local number or a toll-free number. The business must not be listed as a “service area business”. A service area business displays with the street address being hidden, as well as the listing not being surfaced through the Google Places API (which is where we pull the listing details from). The listing must be verified by postcard. As a note, it may take a couple days after the postcard verification process for the listing to be available through the Google Places API. The listing must be completely searchable through Google Maps, with the full NAP listed correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

  • We working a healthcare facility that has over 30 listings set up in Google My Business, individual listings for each doctor and other healthcare professionals. We are trying to sync with Google My Business, but continue to receive a message about being unable to validate the listing. We've ensured that the information matches in each listing. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, any advice on how to get it to sync. I've looked through support documents and not found anything that has helped.

  • Hi there.  I've checked the forums and have seen similar questions, but couldn't find an answer in them.  I have a listing that I imported from my Google My Business account, but it comes up as unverified for both Facebook and Google.  Both pages exist, but have only been published for about 3 weeks.  Both sites contain the accurate business information and are the appropriate types of pages, so the best I can determine from what I've read in the other posts is that "newly" published Facebook and Google pages may not be able to be verified by Moz Local. So the question is, what is considered "newly published"? The Facebook business page is:  https://www.facebook.com/JTBentonConsulting/ The Google+ page is:  https://plus.google.com/b/114469171569907148968/+JTBentonConsultingAdamstown?pageId=114469171569907148968&hl=en The name registered for Google My Business is:  J T Benton Consulting - Mobile Notary Public Any ideas?

  • Hello all! Well, basically that's the question in the subject! Will MOZ Local Claim the Foursquare listing for me? Do I need to first claim the listing in Foursquare and then and only then connect to MOZ Local? Because it seems to me that, if so, this is not happening currently. Thank you in advance!

  • I use Moz local and have for over a year, so my profiles should all be spot on by now. How can you update some inconsistent info that Moz does't provide or is not updating. I have tried to go in and claim some of the listings that the information isn't filled in properly or the ones that don't have the categories filled out that I know Moz Local won't do, but it is saying it is managed by Moz and won't let me claim it. What can I do.

  • It is telling me "we were unable to validate the following listings with google or facebook", but the information matches my google my business listing exactly (for as much as I can tell) why won't it let me validate? I know I have a google my business listing as I am the manager of it and i synced it to moz local via google my business. So why is it not validating when i know for a fact it is listed in Google? Sharper Impressions Painting Inc 6292 Valleyview Dr, Fishers, IN 46038  (317)423-0230. My other 4 sharper impressions listings were validated (even the kansas city one that is still waiting to be verified on google my business) so I am at a loss as to why this one will not validate. Please advise.

  • Hello, We recently set-up a Moz local account and have submitted our data about the business to it. However for some reason our Facebook page is not showing up in the listing report. The Facebook page is active and has all the NAP details but in the listing report, it only gives the option of creating a listing. Is there any way I can link our Facebook page in the listing report.

  • I have a Moz Local listing that has found the correct FB page but it isn't connecting/syncing with a GMB listing.  I have given it a week but still nothing on GMB.  Will the Google+ page that I link to in Advanced > Social Media URLs be linked with the Moz listing? What is the best practice to tell the Moz Local listing what GMB listing to sync up with?

  • Good afternoon! I had a quick concern / question that I wanted to ask the community. One of my campaigns hasn't moved at all since we put them into our account. Everything has stayed static: 0.00% Search Visibility, 0 Keywords Ranking, 0 Moved Up, 0 Moved Down, etc., They have been in Moz for roughly a month now. Does anyone know what might be happening? We are trying to get solid data for our client, but we can't seem to get Moz to index it, perhaps? Let me know what you think!
    Thanks!

  • What is the best practice? I have a client with 3 locations with an actual address and not virtual.  He has 1 Facebook page with the address and phone number of the main location.  Do I add locations in Facebook on that main FB page or do I create 2 more FB pages to have one for each location?

  • I have a listing in Moz Local associated with a YP listing.  Most items on the listing are correct but the number listed is not one of our numbers.  When I try to claim the listing they want to call the number listed and give them a code.  Of course we can't answer the phone because it doesn't ring on our end.  How do I either change the number or claim the listing in another way?

  • I was reading the FAQ on Moz Local and would like clarification about this question/answer: What happens to my listings on the sites in your network if I cancel my Moz Local subscription? Moz Local will simply report to the sites in our network that the listing is no longer under management by one of our customers. In this event, Acxiom and Neustar Localeze will revert your listings to their status prior to your Moz Local subscription. In some cases, your other listings will lose enhanced content like website URL, secondary category information, logos, and other images. Moz Local will not actively remove your listing from our network of sites. You will always have the ability to reclaim your listings manually on each site if you decide to cancel your Moz Local subscription. So let's say my business moved to another location. Then I signed up for a Moz Local subscription, updated my business address, and then did not renew. After I cancel the Moz Local subscription, will my business address in the Acxiom and Localeze listings revert to what it was before I changed it through Moz Local? Please let me know. Thanks!

  • Hey there -- The Acxiom listing that is showing up for a client in Moz Local isn't the clients business. It's showing a different law office. The only overlapping data is the city, state and zip code. For reference, the client has claimed their Acxiom business listing. Anything I can do to fix this? I can't even click on the listing from Moz.

  • We have a professional level subscription for 5 company listings on Moz Local. These listings seem to have synced everywhere except for Google My Business. 1 out of 5 of these synced with Google My Business. When I try to import the listings that aren't synced, nothing happens. I would try the option "push to Google my Business" but we already have listings there. Any ideas about why these aren't importing/syncing?

  • Hello, Our company recently moved offices, so last week I updated the contact details on all the directories we were on and created a few. These include Facebook, google plus, Google business listings, Bing, Scoot, Factual.com, Central Index, Thomson local etc etc. I have re-checked and the details are all correct - address, name, website, telephone number - however when I check my local listings in Moz, only two are showing. Is there anything else I can do?

  • Is it possible to specify more than one sets of hours in Moz Local? For example, one of my clients is open 9:00-11:00am and 2:00-6:30pm one day a week. Can we include this in the hours field? They also have different hours for some of their staff vs others. I know that part is too complicated! I hope we can at least do two sets of open/close hours for one day, though. Has anyone done this successfully?
