  • The Moz Site crawl has pulled this issue on our site: Error Code 901: DNS Errors Prevented Crawler from Resolving Hostname We have double checked to ensure that the site is not blocking any crawls but the error is still happening. This is preventing Moz from acknowledging the other errors that we have fixed. How do I prevent/fix this error message? Thanks!

  • Hi, I've recently set-up a Moz local account and have submitted my business to it. However for some reason my Facebook page is not showing up in the listing report. The Facebook page is active and has all the NAP details but in the listing report, it only gives the option of creating a listing. Am I doing somesting wrong? https://www.facebook.com/surreyroofcare/

  • I'm tracking keyword “keyword city” nationally and “keyword” locally in city. Ranking for these show different position. Considering that we’re working with local businesses or businesses that service only one city and it’s surrounding areas, what would be the best way to set up campaign? Looking for suggestions. Thank you.

  • I have a past client who is interested in taking over the management of their own Moz Local account. I've looked through the resource material, but have not found any information on if it is possible to transfer ownership. Has anyone else had experience with this or know a solution? Thanks!

  • Hello, We use Moz Local to manage local listings for our clients. What are the best practices for resubmitting once there are changes made to the data? Should I resubmit all data even if there aren't any changes to most of the locations? Would there be a time frame that I should have for this ie: Once a quarter, Once a year? Thanks!

  • My company (x) is about to merge with another company (y) to become xy... As part of that, I'm thinking that Moz local is going to help with changing the name of the company in the directories. If I sign up as company x to change the listings to xy... will I need to sign up a separate account with y (with a y e-mail address) to change the listings to xy also? I would like to kick off the process a few days before the effective merge date when xy goes live. Thanks, Stu

  • Hello, Here is my business info: Bright Vessel 18487 SE Federal Hwy #5
Jupiter, FL 33469 561.935.6418 https://www.brightvessel.com/contact-2/ "One of your listings managed by Moz Local appears to no longer have data on either Google or Facebook. As a result we're pausing further updates. However, information distributed so far will be unaffected for the duration of your subscription." I checked both my accounts and saw the only discrepancy was the suite # was missing on Facebook. I added but I am not sure what else I need to do. Can someone help? Thanks, Judd

  • Hey there! I have a business listing set up in Moz Local. The system seems to have accurately found the business on most networks, but on Yellow Pages, it has a completely different business listed (my business is a Pilates studio and it has a soccer club listed). What are the steps I can take to fix this? I can claim my listing on Yellow Pages, but after I do that, how does Moz Local associate the two? Thanks, --eric

  • How come when I search for my location in the Moz Local dashboard, it shows me the Score and the Accuracy, but then when I click into the individual location and the accuracy score is much lower? Which one is the source of truth, and is the best to report to clients? I don't want to report on inflated numbers.

  • I was using the moz local check listing feature to check one of our clients whos addresses is “XXX Close” When i check listing in moz local i get 2 options of the site : with address “XXX Close” with address “XXX Cl” If i click on the “XXX Close” version it shows me listing where the address is written as “XXX Cl” as being inconsistent and visa versa if i click on the “XXX Cl” version. (this happens as some sites reformat the text, ive submitted them all as “XXX Close”) Is the something to be concerned about ? eg. could it effect rankings or does google understand that they are the same ?

  • 1- Can I submit a "corrected" NAP to Moz Local and trust that all the incorrect info in the entire directory ecosystem will get corrected? If the answer is yes, how long would this take? 2- Should I change the incorrect NAP listings in the "other" directories that MOZ doesn't have an agreement with, before I submit a "corrected" NAP to MOZ.? Thanks for the info:-)

  • Sorry, I'm stuck on this one. I'm trying to clean up my business address on Moz Local as I have a duplicated version that ranks better than my verified listing (which is Fulham Nannies). I'm wondering if the problem arises from my entry on Moz Local's business listing for which I've entered 'London' in both the 'City' and 'Location' fields.. I'm not entirely sure that's correct, or what I should in fact enter in the 'province' field other than what I've got at the moment, I.e. London. Should I put something like 'South West London' for province and keep the city entry as London? I'd really appreciate any guidance anyone might have, thanks in advance.

  • I have a Moz Local campaign set up for a physicians clinic. MOZ has informed me that several duplicate listings for the office have been found. Some are listed using an old business name, some are listed using an old business name w/ physicians no longer practicing at the clinic. Most all have inconsistent data. The question is: Do I "ignore" or "close" these duplicate listings? Also, should I wait to clean up inconsistent data until MOZ has successfully "submitted and updated" the listings in the directories they submit to? When I search my local listing with Moz, why does it state that MOZ is unable to contact YP, Hotfrog, and Best of the Web? I will appreciate any guidance here:-)

  • On the dashboard of our listings, the accuracy is different than when you click on the listing.  For example, one listing says 93% when you look on the dashboard, but when I click on it is says "88%, get it to 99%".  Why is there a difference?

  • Our listing is about to renew, but the completion percentage has not improved since the first month we started with Moz twelve months ago. I see in Moz there are many duplicate listings for this business. I was under the impression that Moz was handling this as part of the yearly fee; is that correct? If not, what needs to be done to resolve these issues and make sure our listings are complete and accurate?

  • Hello - We like using the MOZ dashboard as an indicator of SEO health but have run into an instance where we have two citations with the correct NAP that are not being picked up in the MOZ report. The City Search and InsiderPages listings were build through YEXT and have been up for two months. Is there a way to report a match to MOZ?

  • When I click "close" for a duplicate location with wrong information, does it mark that location as PERMANENTLY CLOSED on the website (factual, acxiom, etc), or does it delete it from that website? Additionally, once that location on that site is marked as permanently closed or deleted, does Moz Local then re-add the correct information to that site? Thanks!!!

  • Hi,
I've looked at Moz Local as it now seems to include UK based submissions.
It looks great.  However as I have a number of customers that would benefit from the service I wanted to know if MOZ lets you submit numerous businesses or is it just for the business that you have your account with. I really want to use the service for customers but I'm not sure whether its just a single company with the possibility of multiple addresses or if its multiple businesses. Thanks in advance,
    Steve

  • Wanting to use moz local for a credit union. The locations have differing hours of operation for their lobby and their drive thru. The hours DO overlap. How to display the two "conflicting" hours of op? TIA! Example: Location 123 Lobby Hours: M-F 9-5 S 9-1 Drive Thru Hours: M-F 9-6 S 8:30-2

  • The thing is, the listing verified through Google also has metrics for listings within a number of other direct networks, and the listing verified with Facebook has metrics showing for other direct networks. It would be good if I could bring these together and get a better overall picture of how our local listings are optimised.

  • We are trying to select our "business type" for MozLocal. It's not clear what the implication is by choosing one over the other: brick and mortar or service area? Does anyone understand the criteria to choose one over the other, and when and how is this used by local listings? Thanks.

  • Hello I have used MOZ local for a client in New York City. Since we set up MOZ Local for his practice MOZ keeps showing there is no Facebook page nor a hot frog listing. However both of these listings exist and are correct. Is there a way to show MOZ that these listings exist so the MOZ Rank can show the proper score/accuracy. He wonders why the score isn't higher but there isn't much I can do at the moment. Thanks!

  • We have two duplicate verified published listings on our dashboard. One was verified with Google and Facebook and the other just with Facebook. Both listings also appear to be the same when clicked on (goes to the published listing verified with Google and Facebook); however, they both have different renewal dates so it appears that we may be charged twice for the same listing. At least that is what it looks like on the dashboard. We want to cancel and delete one of them (the one verified only with Facebook), but want to make sure doing so won't affect the other listing. Thanks!

  • I have tried out the SEO moz local tool as I wanted to test how accurate it is and potentially sale it to some of my clients.
I seem to be falling short of the 100% profile completion as the tool can't see I have a page set up for my  business in facebook at https://www.facebook.com/mybusiness.
I have even deleted the page in question and tried to recreate it from scratch following the link from the SEO moz local that that says my facebook profile is incomplete but it' still not working. Has anyone experienced the same issue or am i doing something wrong?

  • On our dashboard, I noticed that our Insider Pages listing (the one with the Insider Pages symbol) is linking to the listing for Citysearch. It is also the same link used for our Citysearch listing. Why is that? I managed to find our Insider Pages listing through a search on Google, but why isn't our Insider Pages listing in the dashboard going to that instead? Secondly, our Citysearch listing is showing a "PowerListings Synced" below the description, which indicates that it is managed by Yext. However, to our knowledge, we have not used Yext for that location. Could that be an issue? If we make an update to our listing, will it still be pushed to Citysearch? Thanks!

  • For some reason when you search our business name in a specific English county (or town within that country) one of the results in the local pack is the home address and phone number for a private individual who is nothing to do with us. He is now being bombarded with calls from people who need our services, which is less than ideal for both parties. I have no idea how this happened, but by using the person's postcode and Moz Local I was able to find a list of citations which have his address and phone number listed with our business name, which I assume is causing Google to rank his house for our business in local search . I was wondering how can I use Moz Local to delete these citations so that Google stops providing this person's address when you search for our business. Thanks for your help
